Common Methods of Treatment

Acupuncture: Technique using very fine needles inserted at points in the body to regulate the imbalance that is

causing the problem. The needles we use are one-tenth the size of those used for injections, & are disposable.

Acupressure: Massage technique based on the knowledge of acupoints to relief pain and heal trauma. It

is particularly effective in treating sport injuries, conditions related to the nervous system, as well as

 muscle and joint pain.

Cupping: The inside of a cup is heated to create a vacuum. The cup is then applied to certain places

 on the body to warm & stimulate the body. It is often used in conjunction with acupuncture to treat

arthritis, back pain, muscle fatigue, abdominal pain, & asthma.

Electric Needling: Application of electric pulses to the needles to enhance the effect of the treatment. It is

 often used for joint pain, back pain, partial paralysis, & facial paralysis.

Moxibustion: Technique of using moxa sticks, lighted to warm certain points on the body to enhance the

 healing process. It is often used for certain types of muscular pain, stomach problem, and arthritis.

Needling to cause bleeding(usually a drop or two of blood): Suitable for certain types of swelling of the

 joints, bloodshot eyes, and throat pain.

Seven-star Needle: Moving the Seven-star needle tapping on the skin up & down. It is used for all kinds

of pain, numbness, dermatitis, hair loss, & for children’s ailments.

Stimulating Frequency Spectrum Generator: Used to enhance the body’s immune system by simulating the

 body’s electromagnetic waves. It is often used for improving circulation, relieving pain, and reducing

inflammation & swelling.

Chinese Herbs: Prescriptions for each problem are individually tailored, based on the diagnosis of the

symptoms. Therefore, for example, although two people may have colds, the herbs used for each are

 somewhat different because they each have different symptoms and a different health condition.
